Hi to all Execalibre members and potential new members or visitors who may be browsing our site! We train on Wednesdays 6.45-8.15pm and Sundays at 9.45-11.15am, meeting at the Canoe Club on Exeter quay (next to Haven Banks Activity Centre).

We are having a special training session on Thursday 4th September, in response to interest generated at the Dream-A-Way dragon boat event. This is suitable for all abilities including complete novices. Hope to see you there at 6.45 at the Canoe Club!!!

If you are interested in trying out dragon boating please contact our club coach, listed under club contacts. Hope to see you soon! Meanwhile browse through our site and learn about Dragon boating - the second largest participation sport in the world...

All sessions are open to any interested new paddlers as well as existing members. Please contact Steve for details and let us know if you are coming so we can check spaces. You will need old sports kit, trainers, change of clothes (just in case, but you're unlikely to need them), a waterproof and a bottle of water. No previous experience of watersports is required but you should be able to swim please! Dragon boating is a very safe sport and the boats are extremely stable. A full safety drill is carried out at the start of training sessions, along with an introduction to different strokes and paddling technique.

We take part in the BDA league each year, some races in the Henley winter series, occasional charity events and in 2007 paddled in Venice. See racing events for a list of upcoming events.
