Each year crews from around the UK compete in the BDA league, which culminates in the National Championships, held at the National Water Sports Centre in Nottingham in early autumn. There is a Premier and Standard division and final placings are based on the points accumulated at your 7 best events. ExeCalibre takes part in as many of the league events listed below as we can. Events are held in a regatta style with qualifying races, repechages, major and minor finals. Races are generally held over 200m and 500m, with a 1000m race at the National Championships.

If you are interested in attending any race event not matter your experience you must have registered with the BDA. To apply for a card please fill in this form and send it to the BDA.

We'd like to take two teams to as many events as possible so need at least 36 members to commit to each event. Remember, racing is what we train for!

Race fees are £10 for BDA league events and £20 for the BDA National Cup. There is the option of a 10% discount if you pay all your race fees in advance. If you wish to pay in advance, speak to Ed about the amount due. Fees will be collected the week prior to events, rather than on race days.
